Poured to a teku glass.
A: The body is crystalline copper with some orange hues. The head is minimal as expected but has some retention. No lacing. Appearance-wise, this beer looks great, for real.
S: The aroma has one of the best blends of toffee and malts, having a really small presence of alcohol.
T: The taste is very soft, starting with a mildly sweet toffee and finishing in a even more mild bitterness that makes this beer very noble in taste.
M: Body is high. The 8% ABV is barely noticed. Carbonation is high and just a bit harsh and that is the only reason why I'm not giving this a 4.5.
O: I've had a couple Maldita beers so far and this Wheatwine is simply the best. Still waiting to try the RIS from them but this beer actually lets you understand why it was the first gold medal beer from World Beer Awards. It's just awesome and doesn't feel like it's too much after a while, something that happens to me a lot with beers close to barleywines. Congratulations to all of Maldita team.
