On tap at ABV.
A surprisingly clear deep amber with a thin, off-white head with minimal lacing, this looks decent. The nose is quite excellent. Deep, layered, rich and complex with a blend of caramel, toffee, earth, juniper, toasted buckwheat, a rich, bready and yeasty aroma... there's a lot going on. Herbal bitterness (juniper/ twigs), caramel bitterness, honey and mild maple like sweetness are present, along with a real deep, grainy malt blend. Drying, mildly bitter on the finish with a touch of smoke, there's lingering juniper, earth and a little mint. Alcohol is well-hidden. Quite excellent.
