Quiet when we visited on a Sunday. Gloomy industrial interior with uncomfortable seating, interior as far from "cosy" as it possibly can get. You come here for the beer ticks, and nothing else. The lady bartender was friendly enough, though. Plenty of taps (both house brews and others), and a rater’s Mekka, as the beers change often, and you can get 20 cl of all beers, at a fairly reasonable price (for Norway). Near Café Sara and Schouskjelleren, two other "must" places for a pub crawl in the area.

Crowbar was my favorite beer spot in Oslo. Such a great vibe. They had about 6 of their own beers on tap, most of which were pretty solid, as well as probably 14 other taps. Also, the food is great. A very small menu, but we had the felafel wrap and the house made pita chips and both were excellent. Don't miss Crowbar if you are in Oslo.

Second stop on our Oslo beer-bar crawl, and the last one for the wife before she had to go to the hotel and sleep the sleeplessness and jet lag off. Compared to Tilt, CrowBar was much busier and animated. The crowd was also much beerier than at Tilt. Packed, basically, on a Wednesday night, but still managed to grab a seat at a communal table and go to the bar and order right away.

20 taps during my visit, with five from Crow and fifteen guest taps. I had the Crow Ersatz Koffee Porter and enjoyed, but really the best is out in the guest list. So many goodies! Buxton Sour, Amager-Surly Todd Axeman (good stuff as well), Lervig Rye IPA, Siren-To Oi Tickle Monster DIPA, Kinn Svart Hav… mostly all Norwegian/Scandinavian brews.

Good service, they had no problem opening a tab for me (I thought that was an American thing only). The space is beautiful, and they have a food menu I didn’t try. Definitely a MUST in Oslo!
