Medium to dark brown color with tan head. Aroma has caramel, milk chocolate, butterscotch and vegetal hop notes. Taste is really well balanced with the butterscotch and toasted malt notes from the aroma coming through but also quite hoppy with slightly dank and vegetal notes. Not very bitter, just a hint on the finish making the beer really easy to drink. Medium plus body with medium carbonation. This really is the type of black IPA I enjoy.

Black rye IPA, 15.5% Plato.
Poured into pint.
Dark brown with 2-finger beige head, nice retention.
Smell - hardly differentiable aroma of roasted malts and hops.
Taste - roasted, chocolate, coffee, good hop bitterness.
Medium, smooth body, medium to soft carbonation.
