Copenhagen 16/10 2018. 50 cl bottle from Ninkasira Bottle Shop, Kbh N. Very obscure drawing with two purple Aliens dragging at Silver Symbol resembling some kind of Eye.
Pours slightly hazy, pale yellow with medium-sized, dense white head. Settles as thin layer of foam covering the surface of the beer and crawling up the side of the glass. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is quite weird for a IPA. Roasted malts, hand soap, tired coffee, leather, strangely perfumed. Quite sweet and with no identifiable sourness or bitterness.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, creamy texture.
Flavor is fairly sweet. Followed by moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is lightly bitter and spicy. The Tonka beans peeking in, I presume.
Unusual take on a India Pale Ale. Too sweet for me and with a weird tang. But well made - and it delivers on the Tonka and Coffee.
