Copenhagen 3/5 2021. 50 cl can from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Off-white can with a strange, exotic, red beetle.
Pours opaque, hazy, milky yellow with a mid-sized white head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. Substantial Laing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet, odor of tropical fruit mingling with a light whiff of citrus fruits. Sweet peach, canned pears, ripe gooseberries. Lime and pine needles.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, slightly viscous, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a medium strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a distinct biter undertone. Lingers for while. Finish is fairly dry.
A bit on the sweetish side but not (totally) without bitter bite. Pleasant drink.
