33cl bottle, based on old notes and leftover bottle a year past bb date that I discovered in my cellar.
Reddish brown, large-grained foam that subsides but sticks moderately.
Nose is blackcurrant, a bit of mineral acidity.
Taste was quiet a mess when young.. the mineral gose backbone was clashing with the blackcurrant and something undefinable which was probably the beetroot, while elderflow tried to add its own voice from the side. Now, way past its prime the blackcurrant has almost gone, and what remains is a very minerally base. Maybe this was in balance somewhere in the middle but I doubt it. The 2,3% strength felt in the original to be a blessing because there was too much going on already.
They themselves describe this as an experiment to celebrate an anniversary. I wanted to record my own notion that fruity and herbal notes apparently do not mix trivially with a salty gose base. As is not really surprising. A brave attempt nonetheless.
