Alcoholic note on the nose (no ethyl), and hints of vanilla.
Impenetrable black beer.
non-existent foam.
In the mouth, very flowing body, almost watery. Much more like that of a whisky than that of an imperial stout.
Hints of bourbon whiskey (vanilla and wood), light roasting and bitter cocoa.
Despite the extremely light body, the 13% all feel.
Beer that raises the body temperature, much more like a Bourbon than an imperial stout.
Overall, not the best of balance, but for my personal taste it's fine.

A 500ml bottle, 2016 vintage. Poured into a snifter glass.

Appearance: Dark dark brown in colour with no head and very sparse lacing.

Aroma: Chocolate, cocoa, molasses, dark fruit, bourbon and oak.

Taste: Chocolate, very roasty malts and coffee, toffee, sweet whiskey, oak barrel, with light smoke and coconut.

Mouthfeel: Creamy, silky, velvety smooth. Full bodied with low carbonation.

Overall: A very enjoyable Russian Imperial Stout that was extremely smooth and tastes great. Very well made!

Tasted from bottle. 2016 version. Pours black with tan head. Aroma is cocoa, whiskey, licorice, coffee. Taste is moderately sweet and bitter. Chewy and clingy mouthfeel. Flavors of lots of chocolate with toffee, coffee, licorice, faint whiskey, caramel. Very well done BA stout.

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2017, blue session. Aroma has fresh berries and dark, sweet malts. Taste has wood barrel, cacao and a dark, roasty malt bitterness. Finishes with coffee notes.

Dark brown, opaque body with a small beige collar that fades to nil. Molasses, prunes, dark fruit, bourbon, chocolate. I love the aroma. Silky smooth with additional notes of brown sugar. Wonderful. I'm so glad I went after this. Thank you, Grzegorz! Prost.

330 mL bottle. Black body. Smell is really nice. Bourbon. Heavy roasted malt. Fudge and molasses. Brown sugar. Taste has lots of roasted malt, caramel, and fudgy chocolate. Bourbon secondary. Bitter malt and oak. Pretty sweet and quite heavy. Well, I didn't expect it to be this good. I really like the aggressive barrel contrasted with the aggressive European stout profile.
