500ml bottle bought from The Vintage, Antrim
Poured a light orange / amber colour... Creamy tan head poured fairly thick and lasted pretty well throughout with lots of thick lacing coating the glass most of the way down...
Aroma - Pretty nondescript.... some light caramel maltiness, light fruitiness (some oranges and maybe some figs), faint biscuit notes, bready, light spicy hints...
Taste - As with the aroma all pretty nondescript... some lightly toasted caramel maltiness, bready traces, very light fruits (bitter oranges, some apples ?), quite salty, some very light nutty sweetness, faint pepperiness....
Feel - Pretty smooth and creamy... medium... too bland to be drinkable...
Overall - A pretty dull Irish Red Ale... not much to recommend here...

Lite mahogany, deep red with fine bead head thick and slow to disappear, but minimal lacing.
Caramel malt with hint of chocolate, malt is dominate, there is a yeasty bready aroma as well.
Taste of clover and spice (?) not at all like the malty aroma, a little sweet as well, otherwise not very interesting. Starts clover and mildly malt dullness, then middle is sweet with slight hop noticeable, finishes sweet and round with slight strange aftertaste.
This beer has the right look but falls short in aroma and taste. It has the feel of a "fake" micro put together by committee with an aim to be not to challenging to the status quo drinker, more of a disappointment than anything.
