A bottle shared with a friend into pint glasses.
L: Pours darkest brown to black with a beige head that recedes to edge foam, low carbo, scattered random lacing.
S: A light mineral note, cocoa, a hint of dark fruits, distant coffee.
T: Taste follows the aroma plus a hint of char, chocolate malts, it is gently sweet, background oats, toasty toasty grains, a hint of dry leather.
F: Smooth medium-heavy bodied mouthfeel with a medium short length lightly dry finish.
O: I really like the taste of this beer. Its light mineral and cocoa flavors are quite nice and it is easy to drink. This is a well crafted and finely brewed Stout. I highly recommend it. It is outstanding.

500ml bottle bought from Portland Wines, Whaley Bridge...
Poured a deep dark brown / almost black colour. Burnt brown head poured pretty thick, foamy and meringue like then faded to light covering with thick edging... some light lines of lacing ring the glass...
Aroma - Toasted bread and lightly roasted malts, black coffee, some dark brown sugar sweetness, roasted nuttiness, some blackcurrant, raisin and black grape fruitiness, very light oatiness, some faint smokiness coming through, leathery hints...
Taste - Nice lightly roasted dark chocolate maltiness, toasted malt loaf, definite coffee notes, caramel sweetness, again some dark berry fruits, light nutmeg traces, quite a lot of sweet nutty hints, some pepperiness...
Feel - Smooth initially then a little sharpness comes through... medium bodied... extremely quaffable and sessionable at only 5%...
Overall - A very enjoyable oatmeal stout... recommended...
