500ml brown bottle, pasteurised. BB June 2007, served cool in a straight imperial pint glass.
A: bright amber hue, off-white foam dissipating slowly, low carbonation.
S: mild brown-sugary malts, a light touch of hop resins along with faint spices, marinated plums and a hint of prunes. Very simplistic.
T: sour-sweet amber malts, licorice, burned-sugar like signs of pasteurisationÂ… very mild (earthy) hops and slowly manifesting bitterness in the remote end, with a touch of cold black tea and its dryish bitterness..
M&D: light-bodied and light on the texture, not overly fizzy thankfully. Nothing special at all in this bottle, and itÂ’s rather boring.
