Highgates Christmas offering: hand pulled pint in my local Wetherspoons on 19th Dec 2011.
Lovely amber body with a good firm creamy coloured crown of foam on top.
The smells were of malty molasses and caramel sweets, a bit to sweet for my liking.
The taste was also too sweet, even for me: the blend of ingrediants being bland, boring and uninspired.
Far to soft and smooth for a UK bitter, wintery or not: a failure in my eyes.
