a good beer for a summer day, beer flavored beer, fresh and crisp, but maybe not all that light as the style goes, its pretty hoppy too, so there is a lot going on for a yellow beer, all very fresh, we were impressed with the couple of beers we had in here, whoever is in the brew house obviously knows what they are doing. this has sort of a northwestern vibe to it with the hops, more piney and higher alpha than the imports, maybe still some noble varietals at work too, but also maybe like a cascade or something in the mix as well, tough to say, but i get some pretty penetrating bitterness in the back half of this and less of the familiar grassiness the style often presents. the malt is full flavored but dry, crackery and crumbly and earthen, really nice. good minerality coming through too, and very clean on the ferment, the lagering is patient and professional and this drinks refreshing even being on the bolder side. great carbonation, kind of hearty in a good way, and overall an impressive pils. dont sleep on this place, they are brewing some excellent beers!
