Bought form my local Co-op.
Deep brown colour.
Malt and fruit to the nose.
Wonderful subtle malty sweetness but mild bitter at the end.
Smooth as anything.
An absolutely wonderful mild. An English ale to the core and one that only the Black Country could produce.

Bottled and part of a huge order from Beers of Europe but even so this dark fruit tasting malty aroma good looking dark bodied mild with decent tan head stood out from some big competition

Brown 500ml bottle, best before the end of Aug 2011, drank and reviewed mid July 2011.
What a lovely beer, just as good as it's cask conditioned version.
Looks and tastes great, the head producing some heavy lacing as the beer level sank.
Just a joy to drink and for more information read my cask review because the bottles are super too.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
