Bodacious Berries, Fruits And Brews / Big Barn Brewery

 

Out in a pretty area north east of Spokane. A tall barn type building with long folding tables with red and white vinyl table cloths. Folding chairs are the seats. There is some appealing outdoor seating at this farm complex. Concrete floors and a good amount of local honey, soaps and their own brewery merchandise for sale as well. They had a large black dog that wandered around, demanding a petting. Their bock and smoked porter were highlights.

Located in the Green Bluff area of Mead in the shadow of Mount Spokane. The scenery and vibe at this location, on a nice day, is unparalleled. The quality of beer is below average for a brewery in the Spokane area. The selection is slightly above average. This place is worth having a pint at because of the wonderful scenery and laid back feel.

As the name implies and Big Barn. Actually an insulated building, heated with a concrete floor. It can be a little loud. Folding chairs and long tables. The brewery is in an adjacent room. We do not get up to Green Bluff too often, but we make a point to stop each December when we are in the neighborhood cutting a Christmas Tree.
