The Voreia I.P.A. belongs to an unusual class for Greece. A beer with generous additions of American hops and three kinds of malt, citrus aromas and coniferous amber color, long aftertaste and 7 ° degrees alcohol hidden well behind its perfumes. The taste, rather bitter, the caramel from the malt to get into a game with balanced hops and together create a beautiful, harmonious result. Also, as the temperature increases beer, the feeling in the mouth is more velvety, while the body is proportionally more dense and distinguished an idea of grape-fruit.

From a bottle at Barley Cargo in Athens. A solid but average English IPA. Very malty with a resiny vegetal hoppiness. Slight haze. Long slightly bitter finish.

Modest head even with a fairly agressive pour. It settles quickly to rim bubbles but does leave a few streaks and spots on the glass. Hazy, burnt orange/amber color.
There's a faint, dry caramel aroma behind the white-bread toasted malt. Very low hop to the nose.
The taste starts off fairly neutral with only a pale malt beginning. The mouthfeel leans rich with a lower carbonation level. The swallow brings forth a bitter, black pepper-like hop bite, leaving a lengthy aftertaste. This is an easy-to-drink IPA without any notable flaws. To date, it's the best Greek beer I've had and would be the one I have again in Greece.

Poured from a 330ml bottle.
I would clas it as a very good California West Coast IPA .
Bold tropical notes, a good mix of hops used in this one.

A tasty IPA, with lots of ripped fruits, citrus and pine feel. Medium sweet, with a mild bitter aftertaste.

I thought this was a very good IPA
Look: amber with a two inch thick fluffy white head
Aroma: caramel and a signficant piney floral aroma
Taste: The flavor was slightly malty, caramel, with a significant piney hop flavor that left a lasting after taste.
Body/Overall: light body

From the bottle purchased at Lidl, it pours a clear amber with a nice head, slowly diminishing to a small one. Leaves a bit of lace. Piney scent with malt. In the mouth, it is resinous and malty. Nice!

BOTTLE: Brown glass. Branded pry-off crown cap. Best before: 02/10/14 (i.e. October). This was a gift from George at Hoppy Pub - thanks!
Served into stemware.
HEAD: 1 finger in height. Off-white in colour. Decent thickness and creaminess. Complexion and consistency could be be improved. Leaves no lacing on the sides of my glass as it recedes. Head retention is average - ~2 minutes.
BODY: Clear copper colour of good vibrance. No yeast/lees/sediment is visible within. Translucent. Transparent.
Appears adequately carbonated. Looks nice for an IPA.
AROMA: Pine, resinous hop character, pale malt sweetness, clean 2-row barley, herbs. Has a nice balance of bitterness and sweetness judging by the aroma. Has some light acidity as well, actually.
A pleasant aroma of average strength.
TASTE: Herbal and floral hop flavours. Pale malt sweetness. Hints of sweetbread. Hints of grapeskin. Balanced and enjoyable. I like it.
Average depth, duration, and intensity of flavour.
Fairly complex. Somewhat subtle. Not real hop-emphatic for a beer billed as an IPA; it's lacking in terms of hop pungency.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, clean, refreshing, medium-bodied, and of apt thickness.
Suits the taste well overall, but fails to accentuate specific flavours or to elevate the beer as a whole.
Not oily, harsh, hot, gushed, boozy, astringent, or dragging.
OVERALL: Drinkable and enjoyable for what it is, but not a great expression of an IPA. I do like it, but it's not worth getting again with superior expressions of the style available at better prices within Greece. I'm glad I got to try it, and the grapeskin flavour helps set it apart, but more hop pungency and depth of flavour is needed for this to stand out.
High C+ (3.25) / ABOVE AVERAGE

My neighbor got this to share. It poured a slightly hazy amber with white head that left a nice lace. The scent was pine in nature. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's an impressive beer for an import.
