Feb. 2016: Bottle at Egget Kafe, Oslo. ABV is 7%. Unusually strong for a witbier, and the alcohol is noticeable - otherwise both appearance, aroma and flavour are typical for the witbier style. Quite enjoyable.

I'm not generally a fan of wit beers but this went down smoothly with a grilled pork chop, tzaziki and oven cooked potatoes.
Very nice beer, I'm looking forward to trying their IPA.

330ml bottle from Lidl, Ireland (£2.49):
Golden amber with a three centimetre head that's foamy with plenty bubbles and a cloudy body. The nose is sweet with plenty wheat and banana as well as some bubblegum notes and cloves, these are followed by some faint yeast and spices round things off. The taste is similar with banana and cloves getting things started but the alcohol definitely makes itself known here as well. It's a strong offering with a strong of carbonation and fizz too, giving the beer a lively and effervescent feel that is perhaps overdone. There's some yeast and spices at the end to see things out and it's not a bad beer, I enjoyed it a lot more than the brewery's pilsner I had last but it's not quite as good as their Voreia Stout sadly. their stout.

Bottle. Hazy orange/yellow. Thin frothy head.
Spicy aroma. Mainly clove, coriander and cardamom. A bit of banana.
Some cereal and yeast tasted along with the spice. Sweetish.
Medium body and feel.
An uninspired brew.

This is an unusual wit beer. ABV is a whopping 7 per cent whereas usually it's below 5. It pours a huge white head that quickly recedes to a thin layer. Beautiful misty yellow color. Tad sweeter than the "regulars" like Hoegaarden. The Greece brewers certainly succeeded in recreating the taste of a wit beer but the alcohol is very pronounced. Me likee! Note: consumed 4 months past the "best by" date but given the ABV % this is unlikely to be a problem. Love the cutout on the label.
