Had Freedom Machine Vol. 5 poured from 12-oz. can, bottom stamped "BESTBY: MAY1023," into tulip pint.
Pours light lemon-gold, barely cloudy, with a 1-finger, creamy near-white head, with good retention, pulling a little chunky lace down the glass. Juicy berry aromas off pour, soon joined by mild, sweet citrus and tropical fruits, and a little peach as warms. On tasting, begins sweet citrus, with a little brighter fruit, backed by noticeable dry-hopping resin, then deep melon and sweet pineapple join and carry over a very creamy body and into a nicely bitter but still sweet tropical fruit (pineapple etc.) finish.
A subtle triumph of brewing freedom.
