Had in the bottle at an Udon place in Kyoto. Not quite a bock style, a good deal hoppier than a bock would usually be, but still quite tasty. Rounded bock flavors with spurt of gentle malt flavor that quickly is subsumed by some mild citrusy hops. Pleasant if a bit out of style.
