On tap at the Harajuku Taproom in Tokyo, Japan.
Pours a darker-medium brown-copper body, one finger white head with a fair amount of retention, good lacing. Smells of resin, caramel, bread. Not a ton of hops here, to be honest. Flavour is similar; mild resin, a bit of sweet caramel, grain. The hops really don't seem to shine here in terms of aromatics; there is a mild-moderate bitterness that brings plenty of balance to the beer, though. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, good carbonation, very drinkable. Overall, nothing like what the wet hop ales do in the USA, but given that these are local Japanese-sourced hops, I really can't dock the brewers for the concept. It's not watery and drinkable, just not what I expect from wet hopped pale ales.
