On tap at Beer Club Popeye in Ryogoku, Tokyo.
Poured pitch black with a white head. A bizarre, but incredibly tasty cross between an American IPA and a dunkel, with some RIS thrown in for good measure. Great hop presence without being overwhelmingly bitter like some DIPAs, and a pleasant roasty, caramely aroma to go with it. Unique, and highly recommended if you're ever in Tokyo.

I had this on tap at Club Popeye in Tokyo. It was marketed as an "India Black Ale" which must be a new style name. The smell and taste reminded me mostly of Victory Storm King stout, so I classified this as a RIS.
There was a nice hoppy flavor throughout which was incredibly refreshing after a week in Japan. The color was dark black with a thin light colored head. Mouthfeel was a little thicker feeling than water and I could have easily drank 3-4 of these. But there were other Japanese microbrews to try which I don't expect to see back home any time soon.
