Appearance is dark brown but still allows in some light - clean filtered with no opacity. Healthy head at pour and retains well throughout a session. Smellsmismsweet - maybe syrup or molasses - but yet has some alcohol presence via the nose. Alcohol presence disappears in this stronger beer upon tasting and is really nicely balanced echoing the malts detected on the nose and maybe adds some Belgian candy to the finish.
