Take Monjolo Imperial Porter, add a pinch of cocoa and vanilla beans and a big dose of raspberries, and you get Monjolo Floresta Negra. Thanks for the bottle Ciro! From a 310 ml bottle, on to the beer:
As dark as many imperial stouts go, and topped with a tanned head with fine retention on top. The raspberries are huge in this beer, in aroma and flavor, while the porter base seems to brings just a little of its roastiness. On its own, the raspberry actually starts to become obnoxious. Paired with a rich chocolate cake, Floresta Negra becomes a heavenly dessert beer.
