Bomber poured into a snifter, brown with a deep ruby tint when light shines through it. Aggressive pour leads to a foamy tan head that settles into a tiny collar.
Aroma is rich Coffee, sweet malts, caramel and some dark toffee.
Flavor is sweetened cold brew coffee, rich roast, caramel and bittersweet coffee beans.
Lower carbonation, just over medium body, bit of syrup.
Pretty dangerous ABV for a sweet coffee. Smooth, rich, tasty!

"Packaged 04 Aug 15" in a 22oz bomber
Poured into a stemless wine glass, it is a mostly unfiltered mahogany brown color with a slightly fizzy light tan head. Retention was short lived, but it was easily agitated.
It smells like vanilla, dark fruits, caramel/toffee, and subtle coffee beans.
It tastes even better than it smells. The coffee, while a sublte compliment, is more prominent. Especially in the aftertaste. There is a nice rich toffee flavor with some distinct vanilla. On the back side, there is a bit of a spicy, slightly citrusy note, followed by a smooth roasted coffee and a finishing cherry/red grape.
The body is medium and the carbonation is normal, which I would have guessed higher based on the pour.
This is an excellent, unique, and highly enjoyable beer. The coffee and vanilla never steal the spotlight. I didn't notice any mention of it being barrel aged, but I would probably bet money (like a whole $5) that it was. The only thing I can knock it for is being a little too hoppy for an English, if that is the intended style. I honestly assumed that it was an American style based on the combination of the hop presence and the bottled date.

Brewed to celebrate the Lakeland brewery’s first anniversary. This 11 percent beer is made with “exotic coffee” (Burundi Nygawe, Sumatra Ardsenia, and Brazilian Yellow Bourbon, all roasted locally by Buddy Brew, in Tampa), vanilla beans and acerola cherries, which are the sweet-tart fruit of a tropical plant. I’ve never had a barleywine made with coffee, let alone vanilla and acerola cherries.
Pours a bright amber in color with a big off-white head that reduces to a ring of foam in my glass.
Most barleywines, especially American ones, have a big hop aroma. This brew smells of rich coffee. Nice.
The flavor is all coffee. It’s rich and creamy and smoky and roasted and quite good. It doesn’t really taste at all like a barleywine like, say, Sierra Nevada Bigfoot. But that’s not a problem since it tastes good. The high alcohol level is very well hidden.
Creamy body
A big winner from Brew Hub and an excellent showcase for their anniversary. Congratulations.

Many thanks to jhartley for this bomber.

The coffee has been mishandled slightly so that there is a hint of green pepper in the aroma and flavor. Otherwise it is reasonably nice with a bit of vanilla and hints of gingerbread on the nose.

Robust coffee in the front with sweet malty cherry-vanilla undertones! The aroma on this is fantastic, pour in a snifter and enjoy!

Rich ruby color, followed by intense coffee & roasted malt flavors, some vanilla intertwined with a sweet warm alcohol kiss & a slight sour cherry finish.
