Copenhagen 21/5 2018. 33 cl little cubby bottle from Føtex, Mimersgade, Kbh. N. Blue label advertising for the brewery receiving a World Beer Award Gold Medal for France.
Pours clear, dark reddish brown with a dense light tan head. Settles as a thin yet fluffy layer of foam. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense and rather sweet. Brown sugar, light odor of banana, caramel and a fairly light touch of alcohol considering the ABV.
Soft carbonation. Creamy, soft texture.
Flavor has strong sweetness balanced by a slightly spicy light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and a bit sugary.
Solid French Dubbel, which manages to hide its alcohol pretty well.

330 ml bottle, from Føtex Hjørring. ABV is 8%. Brewed by Brasserie Goudale, Arques, France. Dark brown colour, small off-white to beige head. Aroma of malts, brown sugar, caramel and dark dried fruits, hints of mild spices. Flavour with the same elements, but not quite as sweet as I feared. Moderate carbonation.

De Carrefour. En copa Grimbergen. Viendo Aniquilacion. Sabor acaramelado algo tostado pero bastante plano y aburrido, con tintes metalicos y un elevado abv que hace que merezca aun menos la pena
