Had this at Ippolitos in Roswell on draft their tasty yeast roles. I was immediately impressed with the unique sweet and fresh flavor and floral smell. I can’t wait to try this with Thai food and even some good old Southern BBQ.

Was excited to see lemongrass in a beer. Was definitely present. But upon tasting the lemongrass and ginger disappeared.

First off, I am a fan of this genre. The ginger and lemongrass are cleary present in the aroma and palet. The corriander is the spice that coats your throat at the finsh. I really enjoyed this and shared it with a non-craft drinker who also enjoyed it. This beer does not have to be ice cold to be enjoyed. I would even suggest letting it sit for 5 minutes post cooler/frig. If you are looking for a beer that goes nicely with asian food, salads, or sauteed vegetables, Thai Wheat is a good pairing. Bought a 6 pack $9.99 at the Pig in Hoover Alabama.

COD 6/20/18. Clear golden pour with a touch of amber. World class head volume, normal retention, poor lacing.
Very good nose of light ginger and slightly sweet orange. Lemongrass is present but weak. Overall, aroma is pleasant but lacks a bit of intensity. Wheat was nor evident.
Light body with a smooth texture. It is not watery. The carbonation / body balance is very good. Effervescence is adequate but does not ever reach the prickly stage.
The flavor profile is outstanding. The base is slightly sweet with an orange bias. Bitterness is low and the pop comes from the ginger. Wheat is evident underneath and presents as more cracker rather than bready. Lemongrass emerges as the sweet orange fades after the middle. Spiciness is low. The finish is a slow fade.

If you enjoy Thai flavor, this is the beer. It definitely has the Thai taste, which would be outside of what you would expect in a craft wheat bier. Enjoy is for what it is. Even though I have a rating of 3.79, it is definitely enjoyable.
