Appearance: Displays a black, grim body with a very thin, off-white head.
Smell: Sugary chocolate, roasted maltiness. Maple glaze and dark fruitiness.
Taste: Opens with a punch to the kidneys level of sweetness. Roasty and coated in chocolate icing laced with vanilla and maple and smooth oatiness. Moderate dark fruitiness. Minimal barrel character. Finishes so, so sweet and warming.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Medium-light carbonation.
Overall: Simply put, it's too, too sweet.

From a 16 oz can near the brewery in Atlanta. This is "a Russian Imperial Oatmeal Stout aged for 11 months in BLiS bourbon-maple-syrup barrels."
Faint coffee and maple with relatively light bourbon barrel aging impact in this tasty stout. A touch too sweet.
Lovely clear mahogany body.
