"Our 13% ABV Olde Oyl imperial stout with a custom coffee blend by Slow Wave Coffee. We topped off this special cask ale with even more coffee, lactose and Irish whiskey-soaked oak chips."
From a cask at the January 2019 (15th Annual) Atlanta Cask Ale Tasting (ACAT).
Dark ruby-brown body with a short bubbly head.
The aroma features notes of coffee, whisky, vanilla, wood and some smoke. Not bad but not promising.
Flavor: Better and more harmonious than the aroma suggests. Vanilla, wood and whisky come out more strongly, with moderate coffee presence and some chocolate.
Smooth, full body with fairly well hidden ABV.
