Bière de la Plaine

Not too long ago if you were walking around in the South of France, Marseille to be precise and you wanted a beer, the options were very limited, mostly macro European brands, very boring. As of a couple of years ago that has changed. In the neighborhood of La Plaine, near the Old Port in Marseille a new and the first craft brewery has opened its doors to shake the landscape of beers a little bit.

In a place where Rose wine and Pastis are the top contenders, it is a very nice and welcomed option. They have a small tasting room inside their brewery where you can sample some of their beers as well as buy some to go. Don't get your expectations too high, they are fairly new and are still developing their skills and flavors but if you find yourself walking around the area do pay them a visit.
