12oz can poured into a snifter
A- pours deep brown in color with a one-finger off-white head, just a bit of light sneaking through.
S- smells of dark roasted malts, slightly nutty, campfire ash, hint of chocolate
T- semi-sweet malts along with some nutty notes, hint of licorice and coffee mid-palate, the finish brings out a bit of smoke, lingering of charred malt
M- medium body with moderate-low carbonation leads to a slightly foamy mouthfeel and finish
O- straight forward schwarzbier, nothing fancy but nothing offensive

Sample from Pies and Pints in Morgantown WV. Last one of the night. Not much flavor on this one for me. Expected more smoke, but no luck.Perhaps our taste buds are dead by now?

On tap at the brewery in a clear Solo cup
Black with brown highlights, one finger of tan head, spotty lacing, thin cap of carbonation.
Dark malts, nutty, slight ash scents
Coffee, light smoke, nuts, grass, bread flavors
Well carbonated, slight bitterness, easy drinking, more character than a brown ale.
Enjoyable

Sat in front of me from the tap with a nice head and almost coal black. Smells a bit of Coffee and Cocoa, pleasant. Taste follows suit with a nice and dry finish. Light body and refreshing. Quite tasty, I enjoyed this, very good on a cold winter evening but I could see having a few in the warmer months as well. Nicely done.
