Basically a growler fill; in Lithuania they have draught systems set up to fill 1 litre brown plastic bottles with screw-tops. I got this fill at an Alynas earlier tonight. 4.70% ABV. Reviewed live, but added from notes taken while waiting for this brewery to be added to the site.
Served cold and side-poured a bit gently as slight carbonation issues are anticipated.
No bubble show forms as it's poured.
HEAD: Pours a one finger wide head, white in colour. It's pretty typical; not very frothy or creamy. No lacing sticks to the sides of the glass as the head recedes. Average complexion and consistency. Poor (~30 second) retention.
BODY: Clear translucent pale copper of average vibrance. Clean; no yeast particulate or hop sediment is visible.
Appears undercarbonated. Not looking great for a pilsener, but aside from the poor head retention I suppose there are no egregious flaws.
AROMA: Honey malt is all I pick up on. No grassy hops/Saaz, no pilsner malt, no clean crisp aromatics indicative of multiple decoction.
A poor overall aroma for light beer. Comes off smelling like a weak honey beer. Meh. Average in strength.
TASTE: Honey malt. That's it. On the sweeter side.
Painfully simple.
TEXTURE: Smooth, wet, overcarbonated, medium-bodied, and a bit too thick considering the lack of flavour. Not as crisp or clean as would be ideal. Could be softer to boot.
OVERALL: Downable swill. A poor honey beer - and a poor overall beer. I wouldn't trifle with this again, but it'll get you drunk and it's reasonably priced. Meh.
