We all have our own perceptions of freedom, and these perceptions change over the years. 36 is the fifth beer in the Dundulis Freedom Series, and we have tried to use the technique of the art of brewing to express the sense of freedom we experience. We brewed a strong, thick and dark, double-mashed mead beer and aged it in 'agricole' rum casks. Symbolically, these oak barrels were made in the 1990s, the year Lithuania declared independence. The barrels have been maturing spirits for over 30 years, imparting to our beers notes of refined vanillas, mousses, caramel and cinnamon flavours, and a symbolic reminder of the 90's.
