This English pale ale pulls a crisp golden color, with a white head that leaves a little lacing. The bouquet is faint, comprised of thin grainy malt notes and citrus notes of lemon peel. The taste consists of a long hop profile, crisp and floral with a biter finish that lingers beyond the swallow. These lingering flavors compromise an otherwise crisp mouthful and impair slightly the drink ability. Still, Cuthbert is a decent example of the style.
