listed here as a belgian blonde, i think thats incorrect. no belgian yeast perceived here at all. a pretty golden brew, but somewhat boring. i suppose they need one beer on the menu that is approachable for everyone, something to slam for the less adventurous, and this fits that really well. the rest of the beer menu is pretty out there, cucumber melon cream ale, whiskey aged scotch ale, coffee beer, all kinds of different stuff, so it makes sense to have something a little more plain like this, i bet they sell a lot of it. the flavor here is fine, nothing wrong with it, its just another one of those cerealy blonde ales with a hint of honey sweetness as it finishes, no appreciable hop or yeast flavor or character to this at all, so its a little one dimensional and boring, but as a slammer it works really well. good carbonation, a light but not at all watery body, and a smooth feel overall. maybe the slightest dry grassy hop thing when it warms up to near room temperature, but all in all an incredibly mild beer that has very wide appeal. worked nicely for me as a palate cleanser between a series of much more adventurous and robust beers.

NIce color and foam. But the taste is crap. Way too sweet.Lemon after tones. Almost like they cut sugar into it. Really bad. No hops at all. Maybe the worst blond I have ever had craft. I dumped half a growler down the sink because it sucked so much.

Served on tap in a pint glass

Appearance – The beer is served a hazy orange color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head has a lighter level of retention, fading rather quickly to leave a little bit of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – The aroma of the beer is big of wheat and grain with a decent showing of a yeasty aroma. Other lighter notes of an orange citrus and some lemon are there as well, with just a hint of grass and coriander rounding it all out.

Taste – The taste begins with a biscuit malt taste mixed with some wheat notes. Along with these flavors are some other tastes of a lighter orange and tangerine sweetness with a hint of caramel and banana mixed within. The citrus grows stronger as the flavor advances with the sweet gaining a little bit of strength, but with most of the new citrus coming in the form of a grapefruit and lemon flavor. Other yeasty flavors are also present more from the middle of the taste with them bringing a hint of a coriander spice. In the end with the transitions in the taste that occur, one is left with a moderately sweet, but nicely bittered and balanced blond taste to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side in terms of its thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower to average side. For the thicker biscuit and yeasty tastes the feel is spot one, although for the citrus a bit more carbonation and thinner body may have made for a more refreshing feel overall. All in all the feel was pretty good overall.

Overall – A nice easy drinking blond with a good balance. Quite tasty.
