Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave just a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is light overall consisting mostly of a crackery smell. Along with this aroma is a little bit of a pine and earthy hop smell.
Taste – The taste begins as the nose would have suggested, with a somewhat drier crackery malt. Right upfront there is also some lighter hop tastes of a pine nature, which grow slightly stronger as the taste moves on. Along with the pine comes some other lighter hop tastes of an earthy and grapefruit nature. With a hint of a fruity sweetness of tangerine and some light grass joining the taste at the very end, one is left with a largely dry, and slightly more lightly dank hop taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is thin and crisp with a carbonation level that is on the average side. For the moderate dank hop profile and the crisp cracker malt tastes the feel is rather nice with the thinner body making for an easier sipping brew.
Overall- Nothing super extraordinary, but not a bad brew overall. A little more dankly hopped for a standard pale then you may typically find. It’s probably not worthy for Bridger to make a regular, but it is good one to brew up and enjoy from time to time.
