Served on tap in a tulip glass
Appearance – The beer is served a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white, fluffy foam. The head has a decent level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a decent sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is rather strong of a grapefruit citrus smell mixed with some tropical fruit aromas. Along with these smells comes a little bit of grass and a touch of herb.
Taste – the taste begins with a crisp cracker flavor that has a decent showing of some of the tropical fruits that were detected in the nose. The hop was light upfront with just a touch of grapefruit flavor, with this flavor growing stronger as the taste advances forward. Along with the grapefruit growing slightly stronger, comes some other hop tastes of pine and a bit of herb, leaving one with a somewhat lightly hopped, but crisp and slightly fruity taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the thinner more crisp side with a carbonation level that was average to slightly higher. For the mix of flavors and style the feel was great and made for a very easy sipping brew overall.
Overall – A rather nice easy drinking brut that is a bit more on the fruity and lightly hopped side. Overall it’s a pretty easy sipper!
