Can: Poured a deep brown color lager with a large off-white foamy head with good retention with some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with light caramel notes with some light bitter notes. Taste is also a mix of roasted malt notes with some light caramel malt notes with light bitter finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well made brown ale with plenty of character.

Deep brown with a lasting inch of beige foam. Aromas of chocolat and roasted barley, with a distinct hop character. I feel some passionfruit in this, which surprises me since it's a brown ale. Taste is pretty clean, with a mild roastiness, hops, and a crispness. Very well balanced, refreshing and complex.

Okay, up front, not the biggest fan of lagers. That being said: Pours a nice hazelnut brown with ruby tinges, and almost no head. Smell is pretty muted, but I get lots of malts and a tiny bit of roast. The taste is pretty damn good: nutty, roasty and malty all at the same time. I have to say it caught me off guard. Pretty good mouthfeel, medium body and medium to high carbonation. A touch of lingering bitterness and a dryish finish.
Color me surprised by this beer. I am an admitted lager skeptic and this one has me saying what the hell. If nothing else, it is a worth a try...you may be surprised too.
