Look is clear gold in color with a small head that broke a little too quickly for my liking. Not much in the way of lacing. The smell is hops, both piney and tropical, and some malts. Hard to find the Belgian yeast on the nose though. The flavor is hoppy, with the Belgian presence coming through a bit more. The hops gave way to sweet maltiness and then a complimentary touch of Belgian yeast. Feel is medium with good carbonation. The finish is a little bitter and dry.
So here's my dilemma: this beer is good,but it does not compare to others I have had in the style. Adding Belgian yeast just doesn't seem like enough. I think this recipe needs to be refined.
