Pours a nice chestnut brown with a couple of fingers of head. Retention is good and on break there are a few islands of foam. Lacing is decent.
Smell is malty and nutty, in keeping with the style. Hops are there but pretty tame.
Taste is much like the nose, malty and some nuttiness. The hops taste a little grassy and that leaves an interesting blend of flavors.
Feel is medium and the carbonation is pretty good. The nutty and grassy aspects of the flavor linger in the finish.
Well, it's a very different beer than the original iteration. I can't say it's my favorite and I am a fan of browns.
