Crisp and tart, with a subtle sweetness, this wheat-based ale is bursting with flavor of blackberries and blueberries.

16oz can. Name of this beer on the label is 'BLACK & BLUE TART'. Label is stamped for canning date of '07/27/22'.
Fuchsia colored body, with some cloudiness. Brief off white head. Spots of lacing.
Aroma is faint, with some berry expression.
Taste is fresh with blackberry and blueberry, which sort of do a dance of alternating flavors. Mainly sour, but has a sweet touch. Kettle sour tart in the aftertaste.
More than medium mouth feel, with a touch of stickiness. Crisp finish. Very good carbonation.
Flavor of the berries is much more emotive than in the nose. Better than average kettle sour.

There are hints of blackberry in this wild ale. I think it adds a nice enjoyable fruity sourness, but there is something to be desired in the overall flavor profile. A nice brew!

Was really digging this beer last time at Boxing Bear. Possibly the best wild ale to come out of this area.
L - beautiful cherry look, an immediate dissipating head with nice lacing
S - fruit up front but not overpowering. The tongue buckles from the tart berries.
T - awesome balance of tart and jam. Light sour, easy drinking on a summer day. Well balanced, wish it was just a bit more acidic but this is really well done.
F - The initial sip goes down was to easy, great overall balance and medium-light body is great for this style.
O - Very excited Boxing Bear is challenging this style and doing it well.
