10 ounce pour at the brewery in a tulip.
Arrives with an oatmeal-colored head over a pitch-black body. Looks full and rich.
Aroma and flavor are consistent and showcase dark chocolate, plums, raisins and black cherry. A tinge of yeast and a hint of smoke on the finish. Lingering brown sugar punctuates each sip.
Body is full, rich, creamy and delicately sweet. Drinks exceptionally easy and the 10.2% alcohol is hardly apparent.
I'm reminded a bit of Founder's Imperial Stout, which is to say this beer is great.
