a clean and bright low alcohol berliner here, very easy drinking, and very summery. clear yellow in the glass with a nice white head on it and lots of bubbles, super see through, delicate looking stuff. aroma is clean lacto, not too sour, nothing more than tangy, with some lemon to it but not overly fruity, and a very light malt, more of a mild pils than a wheat to me, but in the flavor i get it the other way around, either way, its extremely minimal on the malt side of things. some floral notes to the hops in this, and a little bitterness to finish, but there really isnt a lot of that either. a clean tart mineral acidity is there, brine and citrus, dry in the finish. not much body at all either, just super refreshing and a high volume drinker for a sour beer. i still havent had much from these guys, but every time i do i am impressed. this is a nicely soured berliner, so clean with the bacteria, and not too much that it hurts the teeth or turns the tummy. very nicely executed, and something i would drink regularly if it were available in colorado...

Draft - Poured in a Tulip Snifter

L – Very light pale yellow. Slightly cloudy.

S – For a sour I was expecting more of a kick to the nose on this one. Very light smelling of what is to come with the taste. Strikes me as a good beer again to the shallow end of the pool to start out in.

T – The taste was very light, no over powering. The kind of beer that would be great on a hot day. Similar to a GOSE in flavor profile but very mild.

F – Thin and water like. Again great for drinking on a warm day but almost Chardonnay thin.

O – overall not my favorite as I personally gravitate to the extremes of a beer style, Double IPA’s, Imperial Stouts or other bolder sours. I think this would be good to start on your journey into sours.
