Can't believe this beer hasn't been added yet. One of the best, if not the best beer from Bend (Qing Qing is good stuff too).
Pour is a lazy, hazy yellow with smallish 1/6" white head that doesn't hold up. The hop aroma on this one was amazing. Just blast after blast of that funky armpit dankness similar to a Nelson hop. This one is a Crystal hopped beer though.
Taste was super clean, Nelson hop just kept kicking ass on this one. Maris Otter all over it. Its a Smash, single malt = maris otter, single hop = crystal. Really digging the uniqueness of this hop. Wouldn't have guessed a 100% maris otter would work as a pale ale either in this day and age. Carbonation is where it should be. This amounts to a very good pale ale, and not just good banger, but has some real individuality going for it. Bring on more of the crystal hop!
