Pours a nice deep brown color with a rocy/splotchy tan head.
Aromas of toffee, raisins, figs and spice.
Taste the same but more balanced..more toffee less christmas spice..but pleasing.
Nice mouth feel..its drinkable but nice and smooth.
Very English

L: Pours a dark mahogany red with a small creamy white head that dissipates rather quickly. Several fingers of lacing on the glass.
S: Crusty baked bread, mixes with some caramel, a bit of spice, some berry and cherry, nice aroma.
T: Crusted baked bread, notes of sweet caramel, mix with a bit of spice and berry and a medium bitterness, on a few sips the bitterness is a tad grating.
F: Medium to thick body, good carbonation.
O: This is a very nice and malty winter ale, quite a good beer.
