Bend Brewing continues to be a great legacy beer company in Bend, Oregon (30 years now).
This IPA hits the sweet spot of 6.5 ABV and correspondingly provides a balanced (not an overly sharp) hop bite. The definite malt presence, is especially detectable in the satisfying mouthfeel. Overall, I’d describe it as a clean - pure taste with a pleasantly ‘thick’ mouthfeel.
Widely available in Oregon and even better: ‘popularly’ priced.
Having travelled recently to a few other states (and countries), I’m always glad to return home where even grocery market chain stores have excellent lineups.
Update: just enjoyed a pint that was canned just 20 days ago. Doesn’t get much better/fresher. Thanks Bend Brewing!

Light amber look. Low level of lemon and grapefruit peel, with a tiny floral touch, and a bit of medium light toast malt, for the aroma. Medium low level of grapefruit and a bit of lemon peel, for the initial flavor, and on the side, a wee bit of lightly toasted malt.

Named exactly right-on. Lots of fruit with a hint of pine. Good looking, clean amber pour, nice lacing. Carbonation is good. Taste opens up with well tempered bitterness and lots off flavor, moderately dry. Finish is clean. Well done.

Super solid tropical west-coast style IPA. Lots of fruit and hops, not malty, not floral, just super tasty. This is a go to for me when I can find it.

Had this beer camping last weekend and ..who in hells name writes a review when camping..so bought a four pack today.
Pours a slightly translucent bright yellow body, with a large , rocky /frothy white head.
I can smell the tropical fruit aroma as soon as i cracked the can..mango, lemon, papaya..its all there in great fresh form.
Taste is similar but there is a bit of more biting hop also..but well buried. Nice.
Mouth feel is medium with medium to low carbonation..slight drying fnish.
A very nice tropical IPA.

Clear amber brew with plenty of white foam in the tumbler. Pleasingly tingly on the tongue. Hops are listed as Mosaic, Simcoe, and Falconer's Flight. Lots of mango in the nose. A little bitterness along with the malt, rather robust and moderately sweet. Endlessly aromatic with lemon, mango, and pine.
Here's another great Oregon IPA. So fruity and smooth with just enough bark on it. Lush mouthfeel. Loads of aromatics. From the 16 oz can purchased at Market of Choice in Eugene.

Leah likes this one. Tropics on the nose and grapefruit on the palette. Loving this one from the first sip. Enjoying on the patio after a perfect day at Crater Lake.
