Tropical. Citrus. Clean. This West Coast Pilsner was brewed to blur the lines of a hoppy IPA and a clean, sessionable Pilsner. Brewed with a blend of Citra and Amarillo hops, this beer drinks very clean, with strong notes of tropical fruit, citrus and a touch of dankness. Perfect for enjoying the outdoors!

Rapid Crusher is billed as a West Coast Pilsner. It has a pale straw yellow body that glows with a touch of haze. The head of snowy white foam collapses to a persistent collar and surface skin, and deposits good lacing on the glass. The nose is clean, soft malt seasoned with lemon peel, a shred of lime pith, a mild tropical fruit/honeydew note, and a smidge of sulfur. The taste is largely the same, though slightly sweeter than the nose suggests. Key components are lightly toasted malt, citrus peel, a drop of orange oil, and a vaguely tropical character on the breath. The body is light and the feel is crisp and quenching, with brisk carbonation.
Overall, Rapid Crusher winds up somewhere in the no man's land bounded by German Pilsner on one side and Cold IPA on the other. It's not quite the Pilsner that I want, but it's the Pilsner I have I front of me right now. And I'm good with that.
