Bottle poured into a tulip. The appearance was a messy burnt copper color with chunks of something floating all throughout. Ginger bits? I don’t know but somewhat guessing it is as the head is fizzing out like no tomorrow. The aroma had a super strong ginger spice, bold and up front and pummeling any sort of lemon sweet or bitter pulpiness which tried it’s best to come through, but didn’t. The flavor leaned towards the ginger spicy bits. Aftertaste was all about the ginger bits and so was the finish. The palate was somewhere between light and medium bodied with no sort of sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, well, if Bent Hill has been reading my reviews on their beers for a while, they should get a clue that they’re not up to par with the rest of Vermont. And I’m a fan of ginger, just saying.

This was introduced to me at an informal bottle share night around the campfire. Poured from 750 ml bottle into various tulips.
Pours a dark, dark orange, almost brown, with an ample off-white head that leaves nice lace. Smell is fruity and spicy, with definite citrus tones, malt, and ginger.
Taste is at first off-putting as you don't expect that ginger burn even though it states ginger on the label. Ginger spice replaces hopiness as the dominant flavor, but nice muted tones of orange juice and lemon, and just enough bitterness to offset the sweetness.
Mouth is great, medium-bodied, not really a sipper but not something you're gonna guzzle.
Overall, a surprisingly enjoyable drink once you get over the initial ginger shock.

Poured from the bomber into a large tulip.
Pours a hazy deep straw color with one finger of bubbly head.
Aromas are interesting, lemon is present but not overly citrusy. Ginger heat is there also, along with hops.
Taste is equally interesting. First taste is a lot of ginger but not overly hot, lemon is there on the back end but plays second fiddle IMO.
Mouthfeel was very nice.
Overall, this is a well crafted beer. The alcohol is largely hidden here. The combination of ginger and lemon is unique and enjoyable. Not my favorite flavor profile but it works and Bent Hill crafted this nicely.
