Finger of head with a slightly aggressive pour. Little ruby redness at the bottom of the glass. Rich roasted malt and coconut. Good coconut on the taste. A bit thin on the palate, but a good solid beer overall.

Treated as an imperial porter, this was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with an egshell white filmy head. This head seemed to slide off at a moderate pace. Barely any lace.
The aroma had dark chocolate, milk chocolate, moderate roastiness and a whiff of genuine sweet coconut.
The flavor yields to the blend of the sweetness - the milk chocolate, the dark chocolate and the coconut. Initially, my first couple whiffs, I thought the coconut was artificial, but after a little bit of warming, I stopped believing that and noticed the genuine 'toasted' note to it. There was a slight milk chocolate to roasty coffee and a touch of coconut in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Smooth roasty coffee to cocoa powder dry-like to coconut finish.
Overall, quite an impressive beer for a brewery I'm not 100 percent sold on. But I think they're coming into their own!

Moderate pour yields a one inch tan head over a dark brown body with some lacing. Nose of roasted coconut, roasted malt, and chocolate. Taste mirrors nose nicely with an almost creamy feel. Overall, much better than their regular Coconut Porter and will enjoy again. Cheers!
