Can to becher pint glass, the appearance was a semi-hazy burnt copper color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that slid off at a gentle pace. Not much lace. The aroma had some sweet apples, light citrus and a sweet herbal hop quality. Subtle spruce/pine. The flavor leaned towards the sweet side and tried to bring about a sly bitterness, but even that had a hard time trying to come through. Aftertaste was semi-sweet apples and citrus. The palate was almost medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt fine. Overall, decent IPA at best, but as usual with Bent Hill, nothing really to go bonkers about. I wonder how long this will be a shelf turd in most places.
