Thanks Brendan!
This one pours a pretty dark black, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells like bittersweet maple, dark chocolate, oak, and a hint of astringent roast.
This is surprisingly quite good- the maple is there, but doesn't dominate much, and it's not too sweet. Honestly, there's definitely more of a chocolate fudge feel this- I guess the chocolate stout half of this is winning out. There's a lot of oak, and a slightly harsh whiskey and roast character- as the beer warms- it becomes a little harsh on the finish. That's minor quibbles though- this is a very fun beer.
This is a little bit thin, but it's still substantial enough. It's pretty creamy, with a slight lingering astringency on the finish.
